ÚSZT PROJECTS

Participation in higher education

A significant part of our institute's research staff are teaching at the region's higher education institutes. Their majority are holding lectures, seminars and courses at several faculties of the University of Pécs  and some researchers are teaching at the University of Kaposvár, and at the Eötvös József College in Baja.

Our colleagues besides participating in the graduate and master courses of various scientific disciplines and departments play very important role in the teaching of regional science and regional policy on all the three (BA, MA, PhD) levels.

The institute's staff have pioneering and major role in teaching at the Doctoral School of Regional Policy and Regional Economics at the Faculty of Business and Economics Pécs University. Several students have defended so far their degrees by the assistance of our institute's consultants and have been employed at the various regional and central leading organizations of regional development. The curriculum uf the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School at University of Pécs Faculty of Humanities unlike the curricula of other doctoral schools of political science pays great attention for the issues of regional decentralization.

Due to TRI's good contacts in higher education PhD students may also join the Institute's research activities
