On December 5, 2011 Gergely Tagai, junior research fellow at the Central and North Hungarian Research Institute defended his PhD dissertation (summa cum laude, 100%) entitled Spatial interaction models in regional studies at the Eötvös Loránd University Doctoral School of Earth Sciences.
Within the dissertation Gergely Tagai aimed at evaluating in what form and in what issues can spatial interaction models (especially potential model, as one of the most representative member of this family) be considered as adequate tools for regional studies.
