The Municipality of Pécs and the Institute for Regional Studies signed a Cooperation Contract on the 29th of November, 2012. The Cooperation between the Institute and the City has a several decade-long past. The signature of the contract was a sign of the acknowledgement of this cooperation and aimed at the better exploitation of future mutual advantages. Pécs is counting on the work of the research unit in Pécs, the Transdanubian Research Department and a more efficient utilisation of the available knowledge and partnerships. It is a common interest of both parties to mutually validate this knowledge and partnership in order to boost the cultural and scientific life, educational and research activities of the City.
