The Outstanding Young Regionalist Award of the Hungarian Regional Science Association was granted to Cecília Mezei, research fellow of the South Transdanubian Research Institute. HRSA founded the Award in order to appreciate the work of the young generation in the field of regional science and to call attention to their outstanding results achieved in the area of regional science, their exemplary professional and public activities. The Prize means receiving an Award and a gross amount of HUF 200 000 in 2011 for supporting the scientific career of the applicant which the owner of the award may spend on foreign scientific appearances or the publication of a monograph.
